Grid Referencing System

The grid referencing system used in VBS2Fires can be changed from here. The default settings for grid referencing will be Abbreviated MGRS. It could be changed upon user preference into MGRS or UTM.

The format in which a grid location can be entered with MGRS and UTM referencing is shown below,

The easiest way to obtain MGRS & UTM coordinates for a target is through VBS2 Real Time Editor (RTE). A user can select and right click any object such a unit or marker and select the ‘GPS Positioning’ option. This will open up ‘GPS Coordinate Settings’ window. The current section will displays the MGRS & UTM coordinates of that object.
