VBS Transmissions Panel

The VBS Transmission Panel will display all messages to the Instructor which are automatically generated by the aircraft.

The following messages are displayed in both the VBS3 Side and Transmission Panel.

Fixed Wing Platforms – All attack types

Status	Description
PUSHING TO IP	Shows at the task execution
IP INBOUND	Shows at the time plane reaches IP
IN WITH HEADING <direction>, WINGS LEVEL	Shows few seconds before reaching the release point
CLEARED HOT	If ‘Cleared Hot’ is ticked before weapon release
ENGAGING	If ‘Cleared Hot’ is ticked at weapon release
EGRESSING	Shows after firing the last weapon
ESTABLISHED AT <location>	When aircraft enters a new routing area

Rotary Wing Platforms – Non static attacks

Status	Description
PUSHING TO BP	Shows at the task execution
BP INBOUND	Shows at the time plane reaches BP
IN WITH HEADING	Shows few seconds before reaching the release point
CLEARED HOT	If ‘Cleared Hot’ is ticked before weapon release
ENGAGING/RIFLE	If ‘Cleared Hot’ is ticked at weapon release Note: ‘Rifle’ is only for missiles
EGRESSING	Shows after firing the last weapon
ESTABLISHED AT <location>	When helicopter enters a new holding area

Rotary Wing Platforms – Static attacks

Status	Description
PUSHING TO BP	Shows at the task execution
ESTABLISHED IN BP	When the helicopter enters the battle position
BREAKING COVER	Hovering up to obtain LOS
ENGAGING/RIFLE	If ‘Cleared Hot’ is ticked at weapon release Note: ‘Rifle’ is only for missiles
MOVING IN BP	After weapon release

AC130 – Orbit attacks

Status	Description
PUSHING TO OVERHEAD	Shows at the task execution
ESTABLISHED IN OVERHEAD	When Aircraft enters the orbit over the target
CLEARED HOT	If ‘Cleared Hot’ is ticked after entering the orbit attack path
ENGAGING	If ‘Cleared Hot’ is ticked at weapon release
ESTABLISHED AT <location >	After task completion

Status	Description
ABORTING	Shows when a task is aborted
CORRECTING	Shows at each adjustment
PUSHING TO NEW HOLDING	When aircraft is flying to a new routing/holding position
Unable to Engage : No Laser Detected	When conducting a mission without a valid Laser Guidance

Name	Description
Callsign	Displays the asset callsign to which the aircraft belongs
Aircraft	Shows the aircraft number
Time	This will display the initial time of the aircraft status.
Message	This will display the current status of the aircraft.
Font size	This will Pre-set the current Font size. The available Font sizes are "10, 11, 12, 14, 16" (11 is the default font size) the selected Font size will be applied to the whole table
Set Colour Button	Colour can be configured based on the asset
Set Defaults Button	This will reset to default font size and the colour
Clear Button	This will clear all the transmissions displayed in the transmission panel
