After a serial has been edited in real time, the original serial is split into two serials; a new serial will be created with the new values in effect. This is to clearly identify previously fired serials before the edit has taken place and show the new serials with the new values after an edit that are to be fired.
The serial would split according to the number of rounds calculated for the original serial. This means that if a serial has been edited without changing the rate of fire, the original serial and the new split serial’s number of rounds would accumulate to the original number of rounds. The new split serial would be created accordingly to the nearest minute at the point of applying the edit.
