Wind Conditions Window

The Wind panel allows the user to control the ground wind conditions used by VBS2Combined Arms.  The window is located in the main menu system:  Simulation->Wind Conditions.

Using the slider bars, wind speed (in m/s) and wind direction (mils), can be set. To do this, drag the slider to the appropriate value and hit the ‘update’ button.  Additionally, the user may use the forced static wind check box to determine whether VBS2 will keep those wind conditions unchanged over time, or whether it will vary according to its internal algorithms. Selecting or deselecting this check box has an immediate effect and does not require the user to click the ‘update’ button afterwards.

The wind conditions will affect round ballistics, dispersion of smoke, and general environmental features such as trees and foliage.
